Richard Saffer has been in real estate since 1981, and one of the most important things that he has learned is that a house must be marketed. He doesn’t mean “put on the market.” What he means by “marketed” is that any agent can place your home in the MLS, put a sign on your lawn and walk away. He has always believed that the person you hire to sell your most prized possession should know your neighborhood thoroughly. All these years later, my wife and daughter teach in Fair Lawn. I've been a Fair Lawn resident since 1949, when my parents purchased their brand new Cape Cod home for $8,800. My how times have changed since then. I graduate Fair Lawn School system and served honorably in the U.S. Army. I enhanced my education by attending two computer schools and then ventured out on my own as a consultant for several Fortune 500 companies. My duties were to analyze their current systems, user problems, and determine, suggest and implement the best solution.
